9 years ago when I started parsing free lessons with HTML and Pearl, then read classic. Does anyone know if David is planning to update the book or if there are books or web pages where new parsing modules such as etc. are understood?
I think in the last 9 years some modules are still as good as they were, some are up to date, but with a new interesting method and there are some better replacements, for example, right now Also is the only option for free text parsing or would Pearl 6 have influenced its replacement in many scenarios?
I have been living with four years of free text data mining without HTML, XML or Pearl, so maybe my toolkit in this area is a little old. Therefore, there should be any feedback for HTML and Dome Harfen, link extraction / validation, web-testing like mechanization, XML manipulation and free text parsing from people with current CPAN modules in this area.
this is not possible That will never be the second version of "Data Milling Pearl". I am afraid that economics is not just a heap.
But, you are right that since 2001, technology has long been ahead and has many new and improved modules, most of which are similar to the module discussed in the book, for example For, I can not remember the last time that I used XML :: Parser or XML :: DOM. I use XML :: LibexM for most of my XML tasks. Also, my discussion of database is incomplete because it does not mention DBiX :: class.
Perhaps this is something interesting that you can update this information through some posts. I'll give it some thought. Thanks for the idea.
