Hi,
I am using MS Access as a frontend for the PostgreSQL database. And I have gone to the dead end:
How do I get the return value of the Parshutu SQL Incent Statement?
I tried to do something like this:
Enter StrSQL = "Settable (call 1, cola 2) value ('val1', 'val2') Returning call 0 Dynamically create a 'passthoff query' (second function) CreateSPT ("some_temp_query", strSQL) idvalue = DLookup ("col0", "some_temp_query")
Inevitable this way INSERT statement 2 The time will be said :) Does anyone know what is the right way? I have run away from ideas
EDIT: I am using the latest psqlODBC drivers
Assume that you have saved pass-through questions, you can modify the SQL on the flight, and return the value in this way. The following code is used to declare any variable without you. With CurrentDb.QueryDefs ("qryPassReturn"). SQL = "Include some table (col1, col2) values ('val1', 'val1' 'val2') Returning call 0" debug. Print
At the end of OpenRecordet (0), I think you can declare a re-order set to get return value, and can go:
Current DB DEO with QADDEFs ("CuriePassrat") as DAO.Cressecet. Recorset SQL = "Enter some table (call1, cola 2) value (call 'well 1', 'well 2') Calling returning call 0" Set Aristranton = OpenRecordset End with Debug.Print rstReturn (0)Therefore, you can simply pass SQL, and the returned value will appear as standard reoccurset. Therefore, the first example should be fine and note that I did not even declare a varialbe to do this work. As you mentioned, just a saved pass-though query is required.
