elisp - regexp-opt function missing in Emacs? -

I started playing with AliceP to create font-lock highlighting in Imix. Most of the tutorials mention that using an elisp function "regexp-opt" to customize regular expressions there, but my version of emacs (23.2) does not look like that function. Also, any ideas that googling does not turn to the appropriate results?

As you can search through Ch f regexp-opt :

regexp-opt is a compiled Lisp function.

(regexp-opt string and alternate parentheses)

A regexp string should be unique in each string string in each string string and no regexps should be in it, quoted Whether or not the optional payan is non-zero, make sure that the returned regexp is attached by at least one regexp grouped construction. Returned regexp is evenly more efficient than analog regexp:

(if ("(" Br> (Connecut Open (Mappankacket 'Rezxp-coat Strings' \ "" close))

If the content is `word ', then regexp additionally \ & lt; and>.

Note, this is a function to use in Lisp code, There is no interactive command that you can call Mx
