This is a general question. One of my colleagues wrote me a class and wrote that class due to some problem of efficiency Instead of adding to it, wanted to use a Dell created for the class.
Not sure if I understand your question, but it seems like you are asking That you should share the source code or share the code copied.
It is hardly a good idea to copy the source code if you are actually trying to reuse the code (instead of using it as a jumping position for something else) Over time, different copies can change in their own way, and thus to increase the code it needs to be increased.
If you share the compiled library, it can be maintained for itself and the changes distributed to consumers /
