Create TFS 2010 branch from checked out items? -

I have edited some files in branch 1 and found out that I have a new branch, pending changes in branch 2 Want to see Is it possible?

I know that I can make the branch normally and then copy all the changed files from branch to branch 2. But it can be cumbersome.
