html5 - Best way to implement drag and drop upload Google Gears or HTML 5 -

What do you recommend for drag-and-drop uploads - which will give file icons some "zones" to a desktop Page and uploaded it to the server. This option is Google Gears, HTML5 or something else you can recommend. The criteria are:

Should work on as many browsers as possible

If possible, work in the future (although it is less important because I can change the implementation if things change

Less effort is needed to improve (especially for every browser requiring less work).

The user has to work less (i.e. download plug Ins, updated browser version) Better

You want to see plupload. Uses various plugins, gears, HTM5, Flash, etc. Problems for IE 7 and below.
