What is the Exchange ActiveSync user enabled? Device? Device type or device OS?
I am asking because I am going to an employer who said that they only support BlackBerry or Exchange corporate email on the iPhone. I just bought a Samsung Epic Android phone under the Sprint. As of now I no longer have an enterprise email plan for that phone but it runs ActiveSync.
Why can an employer limit the devices allowed to access email and can they really implement it? What generally device can run active sync?
In addition, if they allow my Android, then what does the user have to do on my phone beyond entering PW and Exchange Server? Can they put a policy on their personal phone?

This is definitely dependent on your employer android phone (2.2) of Exchange ActiveSync They support password enforcement policies on your phone, yes they have not tested it on Android so far, so they will not formally support it yet. You should talk to the IT department, maybe bring it in the phone and try them if they have an open mind for them.
