codeblocks - Linux: automatic backup on save of changed file -

Is there any way / SW-device that can be used for monitoring files in a directory for monitoring and Then either back it up to a unique file or version control system?

Reason: I am using code :: blocks and edit / test / change and sometimes (@ # $%!) Want / to retrieve the previous bit code For I want to backup the background quietly, one set up and forget, unless I need it. Ideally every file should be saved.

I used the second suggestion of Matthew Ashlin (Imran) to be my own solution, '' which I hope is open source on GitHub That it would be useful to other people.

  1. Use source control instead
  2. Monitor file system Can run commands on functions and file changes / create / delete etc.
