If you have more, you can actually call the operator of MATLAB on the larger.

I have never tried with an array, but it can be possible. Note that using scaLAPACK to do things like Distributed Ars Backslash

EDIT: You need about 320 GB of memory in cluster machines, you probably will need at least 4 times memory to operate on the array. Maybe maybe more on the basis of what you want to do.
