osx - How to open a symlink without the terminal window popping up? -

How can a SIMLink open without a terminal window? Apart from this, when I close the terminal window, the application gets the same. I tried to use

  new open symlink1  

without any consequences. I have created a symink for iTunes executable (not one of iTunes.app content packets), which I want to be able to open by double clicking on the link, but without stretching the terminal window without stretch

Why not just make an HFS + alias? You can command-option-drag the iTunes app wherever you want on your machine, and it should work as you do.
