android - different sets of notification icons based on notification bar color -

I'm displaying a notification icon which is dark brown, it looks fine on the Nexus One, where The notification area is light brown and HTC is almost invisible on DZire (Sense UI - dark gray notification bar). Is there a way to overcome it? (The icon can not be changed).
